Leadership Team (Elders)

Crestwood Community Church is a team or body ministry church. There is no hierarchy as such. We see all members as equal of importance and value. However, to run a church there needs to be those that lead and are appointed for such a position; the bible calls them elders or pastors. They are men that aim to reflect the qualities found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and are called to preach, teach and instruct the body in the things of God.

At present the Elders of Crestwood Church are:

Nigel Rowe

Nigel Rowe Nigel and his wife Julie have two teenage daughters, Annaliese and Esmie. The family joined Crestwood towards the end of 2008 and Nigel is now a full-time Pastor for Crestwood. He takes an active role in the vast majority of Church activities and in particular, the pastoral needs of the fellowship. Nigel and Julie have been involved in youth work for many years in Brierley Hill, Amblecote, Stourport and Wombourne. Following his training in Graphic Design, Nigel worked for a short time at a church in Essex before embarking in a career as a Graphic Designer.

Nigel's first experience of church was at Brierley Hill AOG Pentecostal church where he attended the Sunday school from a young age, then later on met and married Julie there. As a young couple they moved to Amblecote Christian Centre where they enjoyed being involved in youth and children’s work over the years. Local evangelism and foreign mission has always been important to them and Nigel has enjoyed the chance to be involved in aid and missions trips to Europe and Africa. Before coming to Crestwood Nigel was employed as a creative manager with Reinhard Bonnke’s charity 'Christ for all Nations'.
