What Are You Waiting For?
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:29-31
Have you ever noticed how much time we spend waiting in life? We wait for people, deliveries, buses, trains, planes and automobiles etc. Some things we find ourselves waiting for are not always good for us and the news we get is not what we’d hope for.
The word wait is often translated as hope and Hebrews 6:19 describes the hope we have in Christ. ‘This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.’
We have a hope that is certain. God has given the answer to all our questions and has supplied our most important need.
If we are waiting in hopeful expectation for strength, power, credibility, peace, purpose, justification or joy, then wait no longer, because that has already been given by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Today your joy can be complete. You are justified, you have a God given purpose. With God, you can enjoy a peace that goes beyond all understanding. An incredible God has made our lives credible. Even if you feel weak and not so mighty, He has promised to give you power and strength which comes from above and it is there that we look for our God to send His blessings.
The good news is that all this became available to us at the point of salvation, because of the finished work of the cross. We have all of this and more, not just in the future, but also right now.
Don’t wait any longer, enter in and enjoy all God has done and Christ has accomplished on your behalf.
Be incredibly blessed, by an incredible God!
